…is finally reasonably modern. I’ve been gaming on this old thing for most of a decade. A lot of people think they can’t stream or game without a super computer. But you don’t need that. You don’t even need Windows. I could have kept the old system if I hadn’t needed to upgrade it for other reasons. The upgrade video is up on youtube if you care to watch.
I’m a GNU/Linux gamer. I’ve been MS free since 1998. If it doesn’t run on my OS, I don’t want it. For streaming, I’m making a use of Free Software such as Fedora, OBS Studio, Lutris, DosBox, LibRetro, Hatari, and a few other emulators.
On Modern Monday, we play something from closer to our current era. Usually, it will be something from my huge Humble Bundle backlog.
As of April 12, we will began working our way through all the good stuff from Frictional Games! These tend to be psychological survival horror games, so if that’s not your thing, plan accordingly. Keep checking back here for updates!
Penumbra: Overture (Done!)
Penumbra: Black Plague (Playing it now!)
Penumbra: Requiem (Replay!)
Amnesia: The Dark Descent (Replay!)
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs (First time!)
Soma (First time!)
Amnesia: Rebirth (I don’t even own it yet!)
On Wayback Wednesday, we fire up an emulator and play something old! I love old NES games, but I love old Atari ST games even more!
We finished all of Star Trek: 25th Anniversary except the very final fight. The other Enterprise kicked my butt! But I will be back and I will win. Then we will go on to the sequel, Star Trek: Judgment Rites, which I have never played before!
Slapdash Saturday! Anything goes!
Formerly Free Software Saturday
I finally got my Nintendo Switch hooked up so that I can stream directly from it! So if this becomes console day, that means:
It also means I could stream from my phone. Would anyone be interested in mobile games?
I’m open to suggestions for Saturday! (Subscriber Suggestion Saturday?)
