So… you know how Elmo had been having trouble with this rock forever?

Zoe had been gaslighting him about it for years.

He was pretty much done with her nonsense at this point.

Anyway, back in 2004, Elmo came unglued and tore Zoe a new one because her rock took the last of his favorite cookies.

And that 2004 clip recently resurfaced and went viral to the point that Elmo had to publicly address the issue on Twitter.

All the big Sesame Street Muppets have VERIFIED twitter accounts because of course they do. Clearly he wasn’t all the way over it because he still claims he doesn’t want to talk about the rock, but immediately follows it up with this.

It’s at this point in the story I realze that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is following Elmo on Twitter because OF COURSE HE IS. And now he’s not only telling Elmo he eats cookies all the time, but then proceeds to call out the Cookie Monster! COOKIE FREAKING RESPONDS!
